Katarina’s Birthday

For some of you reading the title of this post caused you to say, “oh shit!” That is right Katarina’s birthday was March 12 and you are probably on her bad list now. Just kidding I don’t think Kat has a bad list. What she does have is a need and a willingness to have fun. So as her husband it is my job to show her a good time.

So after she gave me a foot massage in the morning and made my breakfast and put the laundry away I took her out to eat at McDonald’s, I even let her order off the kids menu 🙂 . Yeah right I wouldn’t be typing right now if I’d done that.

Unfortunately the weather in Miami decided to give us rain for her birthday. Instead of being able to spend the day near or at the beach we had to find more inside things to do. Hey wait a second get your mind out of the gutter this is her day not mine. Our first stop was at the beauty salon where Katarina was treated to a pedicure. Upon returning home we dressed up and headed to dinner at a fancy restaurant in a high-rise bordering the Bay.

After an excellent dinner we drove to Hollywood Florida to party down at the Hard Rock Hotel. I would like to say here and now that this hotel in Florida is doing partying right. The mood and atmosphere of the courtyard outside the hotel was festive and fun. This great ambiance put us in the mood to party. It was now around 11 PM at night and the clubs were finally opening. Being there early, for South Florida partying, got us into the door for free where we hung out for about 45 minutes.

Once the other patrons were liquored up enough dancing got going. The DJ that was performing was quite popular for the area and drew a large crowd for his trance and techno beats. We enjoy dancing to this type of music and shook our booties until almost 3 AM. Not to sound like party animals, which we are not, leaving at 3 AM we assumed the party would be dying down; it wasn’t. The place probably went until the wee wee hours of the morning.

Katarina’s birthday was celebrated in style. Here are some pictures of the evening:
